Walking though the desert with no shoes and my bandana around my neck like a noose.
I’d be seeing stars and dropping low, pretty far from here, from where I knew you once.
But I am so lifted, my mind is pulsing, connecting
every single constellation to catapult myself into planets’ domain.
Oh, nothing will be the same

Sometimes I wanna be that girl, but I would never know where to press restart
unless you stop my heart.
But why force it?
Maybe I’ll take this slow.
I got nowhere else to go so maybe I’ll take this slow…

Daydreams become reality.
Daydreams should pay a salary.
Walking through commuters with my busted feet and a scarf around my neck.
You should take a squeeze.
I’m seeing the backs of my eyelids – yellows, orange, purples, and violets.
I follow them. I follow the colors to relax myself – to distract myself.
But I am so down, my brain is fried, and I am angry all the time.
Won’t something change? Won’t something change?

Cuz I don’t wanna be that girl. So dense, so dark.
But if you gave me a blank slate, I wouldn’t know where to start
